Chillin at Tannin in Geelong

Very Thankful the gig @Tannin went well after one of those ‘change in the season’ sore throats? No one seemed to mind that i had a band-aid strapped to my face after a little incident loading the car on the way to the gig*-_-*. Now I’m sporting a Black Eye…It should be fine by next Fri Night tho. thanks to Bridey,Stuart & the Crew for welcoming me back there- haven’t played at Tannin since prob around Dec last year (b4 I started playing regularly at 3Towers which i stopped playing cos my voice was a bit stuffed earlier in the year). Enjoyed catching up with Maggie& Friends and Daniel&Dave.  Thanks again to Maggie for the pointers on trying to get some gigs at the Nash Noodle Bar…

I ACTUALLY HAVE SOME REAL COMMENTS!! thanks to Drew and Mags for the encouragement:) I’m uploading the remaining files on ‘Another Horizon’ that were missing… so hope some good folk enjoy them.- then I think the site is finally finished.- then I’ve got to start another one on the comic I’m working on.

I had a few probs getting disconnected when I was uploading and I think some of the mp3′s where somehow corrupted and wouldn’t play!- I fixed it by reloading most of them, but I still have to upload the "another horizon" album…. but must sleep.  It sounds like I’ve spent the whole day on this but I was distracted by lots of other stuff as well.

Trying to stay positive… I think the site looks good and I’ve got my stuff on the web:)… it’s been good having a listen to the tracks again -to make sure the links work (I haven’t listened to most of them for a while now) & I was encouraged & pretty happy with them.  It’s great when your recordings sound kind of ‘fresh’ again when you haven’t listened to them for a while… ‘Cause there always remains that attachment to them, no matter how much they go out of style!

P.s.. all the times of these posts are WRONG… wordpress is in London Time and I’m in Aus… I hope I’ve fixed it now but this post still had the wrong time??

last leg of website!

I’m uploading the mp3′s as I speak -so all the music should be available free -Today. I hope.  providing all the links work as they should.  I had a bit of a hiccup with converting the CD quality files into mp3′s as a free converter that I downloaded for Vista didn’t allow me to convert at high quality-but didn’t tell me it wasn’t doing what it was told- so I had to boot up in windows XP and use my old converter (that doesn’t run in Vista)- Alas, the Stupid Digital World of computers and music… I guess like anything has blessings and curses existing side by side like the Wheat and Weeds in the Field.

All that remains of the Website -if it ever finishes uploading the 100meg or so of files- is to create some links for the Lyrics that I want available with each of their corresponding mp3 files…  Ps. this is the first time I’ve ever had a website with a Blog site linked in and I’m pretty Chuffed bout the way it’s working.

website taking a while…

this site has taken a little longer than expected… (i’m still only about 1/3 finished!)  the results are satisfying.  Did a fair bit of canvassing for work couple of weeks ago but no responses- not flustered as my other illustration work is very busy. Other goals are; Need to save up some funds for further Cd Production

finally fixing up my website www.mdhayden.com & hoping to advertise for a few more covers gigs & make my albums easier to download.  I do hope that some of the nice folk I meet from time to time will make some posts here and I can keep in touch a little bit.
